Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Refill accessory for Drinkwell Pet Fountain increases water capacity and decreases filling frequency. Provides an additional six cup capacity (for a total capacity of 12 cups). Optional Refill AccessoryThe refill accessory provides an additional six cups of water, bringing the total combined capacity of both the fountain and accessory to 12 cups. The base which supports the refill container has two tabs which hook over the rear wall of the bowl at the back of the fountain. After placing the fountain in the desired location, hook the two tabs of the base over the rear wall of the fountain. The base must be properly attached to avoid any spillage when the refill container is added. Note: if you have an active household, do not place the fountain in an area where the refill accessory can be knocked over. Fill the refill container with water. Check the lid to make sure the black O ring is in place, then screw the lid onto the container. Hold the container over the base with the spout away from the fountain. Quickly turn it upside down and slip the lid's spout into the rear cut-out area of the bowl (where the base is attached). Some loss of water is normal and will be contained by the base.Complete cleaning instructions included.

1 out of 5 stars Missing part.... reservoir leaks   October 12, 2008

The Reservoir did not come with the inside rubber band that helps seal it......result, it leaks like a sieve. The receipt says I cannot return "used" products, so I'm stuck with it.

5 out of 5 stars Works Great   October 1, 2008
This item works great. Just added water and placed behind the fountain. Now I don't have to add water everyday.

1 out of 5 stars Great for a few months   September 22, 2008
I puchased three units this year, one large and two small. The small units were used indoors. All three have stopped pumping water. I cleaned and chaged filters. I cleaned the units. The pumps are dead! I would not recommend a purchase until the manufacturer improves the pump quality.

5 out of 5 stars My cat loves this automatic, filtered cat water fountain   August 31, 2008
I bought this to replace one that worked flawlessly for five years. It finally needed to be replaced. However, I can still use the optional reserve water reservoir with the new one. My cats rate this 5 Stars!

5 out of 5 stars Great add-on   August 6, 2008

Bought this just a few months ago and wish I had bought it when I got the fountain! I was having to add water daily to the fountain (with 2 cats using it) and several times was awoken in the middle of the night by the pump running low. Now I fill the reservoir with ice cubes about every 3 days and that's enough for my two. The ice gives them some cool water on the first day and also lessens the chance of water leaking out when inverting to place on the base.
