Product Description
Perfect for all pets. Provides 12 hours of safe, comforting warmth. The warm temperature remains stable at around 123 degrees F for 5-6 hours then slowly drops off. Place in the microwave for 5 minutes, then put under your pets bedding. Or use to keep hot foods warm when transporting. Just put a towel between the pad & the food dish.

 Pretty good for freezing temperatures January 9, 2009
I bought two of these about six years ago and used them in boxes for two feral cats throughout each winter. They took a beating! I heat them in the microwave and put them in flannel pillow cases, then place in covered boxes on the deck filled with straw for these cats. They originally lasted 10-12 hours. As they wore out, they stayed warm maybe five or six hours. I just bought two new ones, and right from the get-go they are only lasting five to six hours, which is NOT what the package tells you. However, it's not bad and the current cats still appreciate it. We just have to rotate them out more often. Price could be better--found no bargains anywhere on them, but it is a unique product--nothing else like it (don't have to plug in, doesn't leak, pets don't chew). I'll likely buy more.

I have two rat terriers and I heat them up and put them under thier blankets in their kennels and the love them. I used to have an electric one, and these are much safer. They do stay warm for hours like the advertisement states. During cold weather they felt warm after 10 hours. The covering that is included is very nice. I would purchase these again and for gifts!
Great for haven for strays January 7, 2009
If you have a haven outside for strays who won't come inside, you can put this under a blanket and it will emit heat for many hours.

NOT just for animals. This is great as a foot warmer. I also use it as an old time bedwarmer. Every household should have at least one of these. It is a great product when working out in the cold. I am finding new applications for it daily. Don't know how I lived without it. Move over microwave.Stays warm for hours and hours.

Hardness of the 'frisbee' product (an earlier reviewer's objection)was not an issue. Encircled by a towel (to make it level) over which I placed a small/walled kitty bed, it made a purr-fectly warm sleeping place for an outdoor 'orphan' even when the temperature fell to 15 degrees F. recently. I microwave it at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily, which seems to be adequate. I've recommended the product to several friends and will certainly, when needed, buy another for myself ! I'm trying to retain website information for future use !! Thank you ...Kathryn
