cheap January 2, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My dog has been doing agility for over a year and we love it!!! Got the starter kit as a gift from a well wisher and at first we were excited. Once we opened it the disappointment set in. This kit was poorly constructed and made very cheaply. My dog ate the weave pole (she has never enjoyed the weaves) and the knocked the hurdle down every time (the wind would knock it down) and the tunnel is not very long. I have since built my own agility course with PVC pipe for the hurdle and weave poles and a tunnel can be made from a heating duct. Directions can be found online.
If you have money to burn and a small dog that you want to introduce agility to this may be for you. If you have experience in agility or a bigger dog you may want to invest in more heavy duty equipment.
Cheap product. September 24, 2008 Don't expect much here. Looks really cheap and smells like death (you know, that disgusting smell that cheap products have). But everything came in one piece and works alright. One of the stakes broke off in the ground.
It's really one of those products you buy thinking you'll use it, but it ends up collecting dust.
Great for the price - fun toy and great starter kit July 21, 2008 For the price, this kit is a great value. It's obviously pretty cheaply made, but for those who MIGHT want to get into dog agility it's a great kit to make that determination without spending a couple hundred bucks. Would also be a great toy for kids to use to train their dogs. Shipping was quick - as usual. Didn't have to read the directions in order to figure out how to use it. The ribbon awards were a bit overkill, but the rest is pretty good. Just keep it put up and don't leave your dog unsupervised with it. This led to my beagle stealing the top of the jumping bar and running around the yard with it and she managed to chew one end up pretty good, but it still works.
A great little starter kit - but watch for wind April 29, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My one-year-old chinese crested powderpuff took to this kit right off. I took after it right off, too, when a wind set the tunnel and stakes to flying across the neighborhood. So I would caution to use strong stakes for the tunnel.
Not too sturdy March 22, 2008 A bit on the cheap side but lots of fun for my daughter and the dog. Recommed only for small size dog as it is not to sturdy.
