5 out of 5 stars Perfect   January 7, 2009
Just received this toy today! Didn't even take it out of the package and my cat had found it. Now it doesnt leave his side or mouth! Perfect toy for kitties!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars This got Kitty's attention when no other toy would   January 6, 2009
Fabulous toy. My cat loves it, and it's not just because of the catnip either. Whatever it is, it's great to watch her enjoy it so much. As a plus for kitty's 2-legged companions (Us), the catnip goes into a little velcro-sealed pouch on the underside, so it doesn't get it all over the place. Highly recommended.

3 out of 5 stars not necesarily for every cat   December 22, 2008

I don't want to detract too much from what is obviously a quality cat toy. But its not "da bird"- a toy that seems to work with any cat. My cat seems to prefer bird-like toys and no amount of catnip or cuteness from this toy is going to change that fact.

From an owner perspective I've seen my cat go for this toy more than the usual "dead animal" toy, and it seems like a durable toy, but its not a guarantee that your cat will like it.

4 out of 5 stars Picky cats: caution   December 16, 2008

I've struggled to find a toy that my picky cat enjoys. Currently, the only one that interests him is one of those spinning feather 'fishpole' toys. Based on the excellent reviews of this toy, I was hoping he would get into it. He didn't. The toy looks well-constructed as others have said, and I don't fault the toy for my cat not being interested. He's just picky. Hopefully we'll have better luck with the next one!

5 out of 5 stars Kitty goes crazy over "Kill & Groom" Squirrel!   November 28, 2008

This is our kitty's favorite stuffed toy. She loves it better than her catnip mice, better than her plastic jingly ball, better than her crinkly fish. It has a velcro closure on its tummy, where you can insert one (or both) of the catnip teabags it comes with. Kitty chomps down on the squirrel, trots around with it, and then tosses it up into the air and snares it with her front paws. She'll even fetch it if we throw it into the next room. The funniest thing is that, when she's done attacking it, she'll flop on the ground and serenely groom its fur and bushy tail with her tongue. So, we've decided to call it -- in the vein of Primp & Polish Barbie -- Kill & Groom Squirrel!
